Ride - Scotland, Banchory
Where
Normal post-work ride along the southern bank of the Dee at the foot of Scolty Hill. Conditions are just a little muddy in spots but mostly OK. Felt quite mild.
The Garmin route looks bizarre. It shows a 800-foot drop over and out-and-back ride. I’ve noticed this a few times from Banchory but have no idea what causes it.

Gear and Nutrition
High gears are skipping as they’ve done in the past when the derailer is mis-aligned. Looking at the pictures from my ride yesterday south on the Fungle Road I can see that I laid Sur Pug down on the gear-side and that may have knocked either the shifter or the shifter hanger off straight. What a plonker…!
