Ride - Scotland, Fungle Road to Tarfside

Back to the car park west of Finzean and close to the Fungle road. This time I headed south towards Tarfside. The wind was howling against me the whole way up and made a challenging climb even more so. I called it a day after a steady two-mile climb against the wind.
A brief snow shower dumped 1/4 to 1/2 an inch of snow on the hills just before I set out. By the time a started my ride the clouds had mostly gone and the skies were a clear blue. The problem was the wind which took my breath away on a couple of occasions.

Gear and Nutrition
I finally installed a new rear socket with a 40T low gear to replace the 36T. The extra diameter helped with the steep climb. I’ll probably remove an additional two links from the chain and re-adjust the gears to get shifting just right.
