Ride - Scotland, Banchory
Where
I ventured a little further up Scolty Hill on this Sunday afternoon ride. After a rainy start to the day, the sun God played well and provided pretty good conditions for spending a couple of hours exploring in the daylight. First-off, whilst most of the hill is covered in Scottish Forestry monoculture, every other space is jam-packed with life. Moss and lichens are everywhere which means the air is clean (and it rains a lot).
The single-track is more abundant on the top part of the trail where it looks like it’s designed mostly for fast descents and it’s pretty cut up and muddy in places as a consequence. I decided to buck the trend and climb the hill. It was a challenge after so many weeks not climbing but there really is no substitute to single-track for building strength and handling skills. Great fun.

SurPug definitely needs a good service and drive-train tightening up. The bottom bearing started to come loose.
