Ride - Lomond Hills Regional Park
When we lived in Kinnesswood this place wasn't a regional park, it was just "up the hill". I remember a couple of trips with fishing rods to the reservoirs looking for trout but don't recall if we caught anything. My ride today started at Craigmead car park just outside Falkland. I headed west toward West Lomond and rode anti-clockwise around the Bishop Hill and then downhill back to the parking lot. The section from West Lomond to Bishop Hill was difficult downhill and up. The downhill was loose sand and difficult to control the front wheel. The ascent was steep, barrow and rocky. Lots of hike-a-bike involved.
The picture below is from near the top of Bishop Hill and shows Loch Leven with Kinnesswood in the lower LH corner.
