Ride, Scotland - Skolty Hill, Banchory
Where
Biked from my flat in Banchory over the Bridge of Dee, west along the river past North Cottage and then past Grove Cottage into Goauch Wood. From there I followed single track into Craigloch Wood and then Scolty Wood. I approached General Burnett’s Monument up the very steep (and un-rideable) north-facing slope.
I left the top of the hill by the south-facing and much less steep slope, followed easy single-track into Blackhall Forest and eventually made my way down to the gravel pits and from there east back along the river Dee.

Gear and Nutrition
Lots of electrolytes before and during. A helping of starchy energy drink kept me going for the two hours in the saddle.
All else was in working order. The leather saddle is even beginning to get manageable.
