Ride - Scotland, Scolty Hill, Banchory
I must admit that I’m quite looking forward to getting my bike lights charged up and back on the bike. Riding singletrack in the dark is such good fune at the best of times and on the rooty, rocky tracks on Scolty Hill it’ll be great. Anyway, more of that at a later date. No need for lights this afternoon.
Where
Old faithful trails never disappoint. Sadly, the gatehouse at the end of the bridge has been locked for a couple of weeks. This isn’t a huge issue but it is an inconvenience for easy access to a quick out-and-back easy ride on gravel.

Gear and Nutrition
Long trousers for the first time this year.
Dropped my Garmin when I became wrapped up in riverside debris and fell. Patience (not a strength of mine) and perseverance (a strength of mine) paid off and I found it lying on the ground where I’d landed.
