Garden - red-bellied woodpecker and a bit of chickadee
This handsome fellow visits the feeder every now and again but he’s difficult to capture. As soon as he sees any movement he’s gone. Luckily I managed to get this shot by forgetting the tripod just holding the camera by hand, zooming in and hoping for the best. This shot was one of five that I managed to squeeze off before he bolted.
The only common visitor to the feeders I haven’t managed to capture properly yet is the black-capped chickadee. They are very active and rarely sit still or sit at all in any one spot. The shot below was taken through the kitchen window into a leafless tree next to the feeders. It’s tough to follow them at high zoom as they dart around and tough to focus through the branches.
