Wet, wet, wet on the bike trail
A one hour romp around the nw trails at Marsh Creek State Park, PA. I had the place mostly to myself. At least there were no other bikers, just a single walker. These are easy trails with occasional, short steep ascents.
I also finally did a head-to-head comparison of my old GoPro with a new knock-off Chinese version. It's not a real apple-to-apple comparison because the GoPro is about 10 years old and the knock-off a recent purchase. The GoPro is on the LHS below and the knock-off on the RHS. The latter gives brighter color and better resolution.
Everything was wet today, trails, bushes, meadows. I was able to avoid much of the mud as usual but new growth on the bushes heavy with rainwater leaned over the trails and were impossible to miss. I was drenched in no time
The meadow that stretches for a good bit of the second mile was packed with tall, wet grass that was fun to ride through but I was soaked and covered in grass seed by the end. Thankfully no ticks though.
A brief stop at the creek was required to wash of SaMuk and me. The water was surprisingly not really cold. I thought it would have been pretty numbing...a change from the higher ground where the rivers are probably still carrying some late snow melt
After the wash, I stayed away from the meadow and tried to find additional miles within the internal woodland sections
