Gladwyne, PA
The picture below was taken from Mill Creek Road at the junction with Rose Glen Road in Gladwyne, PA. The short stretch of Mill Creek Road between Conshohocken State to River Road includes a remarkable amount of early American industrial history with old mill ruins and some still intact buildings along the mile or so stretch of roadway.
Throughout part of the 19th century the area was known as Rose Glen. It had been named for the Reading Railroad train station that was once located near where Mill Creek empties into the Schuylkill River
